I cannot say enough about Clayton Shively. I have hunted whitetails in Saskatchewan, Canada. I have fished for Rainbow Trout in Lake Lliamma, Alaska at the Rainbow King Lodge and hunted Elk in the Mescarlo Indian Reservation, and have not met anyone that worked harder to get a trophy with my bow, than Clayton. The only reason I did not shoot a bigger animal is I simply did not wait long enough. While the accommodations were not quite as nice as the Inn of the Mountain Gods, there were certainly plenty of trophy animals in that part of Kansas. I should have been more patient. Hi Clayton, Now that the dust has settled on the Holidays I wanted to take a minute to write a thank you for the truly outstanding hunting experiences i have enjoyed with you over the past couple of years.
Attached you will see some of the fine bucks I have harvested on my treks out west! You have always "gone the extra mile" to make sure I am pleased with my hunt! I've hunted in other areas of Kansas and must say you have some of the finest whitetail habitat I have experienced. The quality of the herd and buck to doe ratio is amazing! Keep up the good work! My hunt with Double H Outfitters was my first Kansas hunt ever and I can promise you it won't be my last if I can help it. The hunting was unreal, treestands were safe and comfortable, Clayton was very informative on what winds I needed for each stand, but enough about the hunting the pictures speak for themselves. I cannot express enough about how nice everyone was, not just the guys at Double H, even the people around town I felt very welcome everywhere I went. One of the best parts of my hunt were the friends I made while I was in Kansas.Can't wait to see you all again next season, and thanks again Clayton for making my trip one I will never forget. " Very enjoyable experience. Clayton made us feel right at home and gave us a appropriate amount of guidance to keep us well informed about buck movement without guiding us to the point of not allowing us to choose where we wanted to hunt. The hunting cabin was very comfortable compared to others that I have stayed in and provided a good hangout to relax midday and chat with Clayton about ideas for the afternoon hunt. Even though we endured a 40 mph windstorm and freezing temperature while we were there in December, it was well worth it as my picture shows! Coming from NH where you are lucky to see a deer within the whole bow and gun season doesn't compare with this experience; I saw more deer on this trip than in all my years hunting in NH combined. "
